BC Residents (MSP-Covered)

In order to see one of our specialists, you require a referral from your family doctor or midwife. A walk-in-clinic may be used if you do not have a family doctor.

Appointments are assigned once all of the information has been received. Wait times depend on the condition and the physician.

You will be contacted directly with the appointment date and time and your referring provider will receive notification.

Appointments must be confirmed by e-mail or telephone one week prior. Failure of confirmation may result in appointment cancellation. 48 hours notice are required for cancellations and changes and we reserve the right to charge a fee for missed appointments and late-notice cancellations.

Follow-up visits (within 6 months of the original consultation) can be booked directly. Visits more than 6 months from the original consultation require a re-referral.

Non-Residents (Private Pay)

A referral is not required. You can contact us directly to book an appointment. Our fee schedule for non-insured services is available upon request.

OB Patients

BC Women’s Hospital
(Drs. Belanger, Branco, van Schalkwyk, Yue)

To register for delivery at BCWH, you must live in Vancouver proper and be able to provide proof of residence.

Exceptions include patients who have previously delivered at BCWH, are high-risk and require tertiary-level care, or are existing GYN patients at Cross Roads OB/GYN.

Non-resident private-pay patients are generally not eligible for registration (please inquire).

There are no residency restrictions and private pay patients are welcome.
